For movers and shakers in the renewable energy industry, November 3 - 5, 2024, has already been carefully marked on the calendar. This is when more than 350 leaders, innovators, and advocates from the global sustainable biomass industry will converge in Miami Beach, Florida for the USIPA 2024 Conference.

The annual event, which has been running since 2011, platforms expert speakers from around the world to share current market analysis, policy updates from key regions, and insights into the industry's most pressing issues.

According to the organizers, the US Industrial Pellet Association (USIPA), the theme of this year’s conference – Empowering a Sustainable Future – reflects
the importance of woody biomass to the green energy transition.

However, it also raises questions about the evolution of traditional heat and power markets, the emergence of transportation fuel markets such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), as well as the challenges and opportunities facing new biocarbon pathways that will usher the industry into its next chapter.

Indeed, the subtle name change to the conference – previously known as the USIPA Exporting Pellets Conference – highlights this new chapter.

A packed conference agenda will break down and explore all these topics, and more, drawing upon unique insights from thought- and action leaders across industry, government, and academia.

In parallel with the main program, more than 40 companies will have a presence in the conference exhibit hall.

This is a not to be missed opportunity during the generous networking breaks to learn more about the latest innovations, services, and technologies that are driving efficiencies and unlocking new potential throughout the woody biomass supply chain.

A bonus this year is that the USIPA Conference closes on November 5, 2024, just hours ahead of when the first state results of the US Presidential election are anticipated to start coming in.

Thus delegates at this year’s conference will again have plenty to discuss, both in the main sessions and exhibit hall, but also in the multiple networking events that
provide a more relaxed setting in which to reconnect with colleagues and meet new faces.

Bioenergy International looks forward to doing exactly that in Miami Beach during USIPA 2024, irrespective of who takes up office in the White House next January.
